ScoopFree Announces Shelter Support Program

CHICAGO, February 22, 2007 —

Lucky Litter LLC, manufacturers of the ScoopFree automatic litter box, is proud to unveil its new ScoopFree Shelter Program, aimed at assisting animal shelters with their fundraising efforts.

The ScoopFree Shelter Program provides free ScoopFree products, financial donations and administrative assistance to animal shelters across the country.   In recent pilot tests, the program received positive results from ten shelters across the country including the Cat Adoption Team of Sherwood, Oregon and The Cat Network, Inc., based in Miami, Florida.

The ScoopFree Shelter Program has three major components:

  • Products donated by ScoopFree for shelter and/or their foster homes use in addition to donations for fundraising events.
  • Special discount programs to reward the adopting families, employees and volunteers.
  • Matching donations to the animal shelter.

"In realizing the vital role of animal shelters in this country, our company decided if we were going to be part of the pet community, we wanted to do our part to support these organizations," said Alan Cook, ScoopFree founder and CEO.  "We feel the ScoopFree Shelter Program was the most meaningful way we could help the people and organizations that have given so much to these animals," he said.
