SSL Certificate Back in Action
The SSL certificate for the ScoopFree website has been updated. Everything should be back to normal now.
The SSL certificate for the ScoopFree website has been updated. Everything should be back to normal now.
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we’re currently experiencing a slight problem with the SSL certificate on our site.
What’s an SSL certificate you ask? It is what keeps your credit card number safe when you purchase anything from our website.
The problem is - the date on our SSL certificate expired. What that means is that when you click on the “Buy it now” tab on our site, you’ll probably get a warning that tells you the certificate has expired.
The certificate is still doing its job - making sure your credit card numbers are encrypted - it’s just time to get a new one.
We should have the new one installed within the next 24 - 48 hours. Until then - you’ll see the warning if you go to buy something - but other than that - everything will still be secure.
– The ScoopFree Techies
Our December contest showed how easy the ScoopFree is to use. We had hundreds of entries and randomly selected five winners to receive a brand new ScoopFree litter box and an autographed copy of the award-winning book, Tails of Devotion: A Look at the Bond Between People and their Pets, by Emily Scott Pottruck. We congratulate Kantrell Williams, Linda Vencill, Beegee Wenzler, Jim & Trish Jess and Jean Lazzaro. Thank you to everyone who entered the contest.
